Out and About

Now that spring is here (and summer is not far away), it’s the perfect time to start making summer plans for your kids.  Get them out of bearsthe house and away from the Xbox by appealing to their natural sense of adventure. Personally, I love nothing more than announcing to my son on a bright summer morning, “Let’s go.” Sometimes I have a plan but there is something particularly fun about having no destination, driving in a new direction and discovering what’s just around the bend. Campfires, walks in the woods, jumping into icy cold rivers, making forts out of driftwood, picnicking on top of a mountain —these are the kind of things that awaken the senses and make lifelong summer memories. So, what are you waiting for? Check out these books for some great ideas your children will love. It’s time to go…
