Access KRL via a New App

We are happy to announce that many of our online services are now accessible via the Washington State Library Now App. Thanks to a partnership between the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation and the Washington State Library you can now search our catalog, check your account, download eBooks and stay connected to KRL via a tap of your mobile device’s homescreen.

washingtonstatelibrarynowOne of the fun features of this new App is called BookLook. With the BookLook feature you can scan a book’s UPC code and be taken directly to the item in our online catalog so you can place a hold or find it available at one of our libraries. If you do not find the book there is an handy link to our purchase request / interlibrary loan form.

The App also takes advantage of the locator services available on most mobile devices. Now when you are away from home, and wondering where to return your books or ask a question you can simply tap Locations and Hours and the closest location will be listed first. Our phone numbers are programmed in as well so you can call us with a tap of the screen.

Ready to try it out?

Go to http://wa.boopsie.com

and you should be redirected to the App store appropriate to your device. Like all library services there is no charge for the App.

Once you download the App you will need to select Kitsap Regional Library as your library of choice.
