Military Appreciation at KRL

During the month of May we will be hosting events that share military stories from past to present in celebration of Military Appreciation Month.

srodrickKitsap Regional Library is pleased to host Stephen Rodrick on the release day of his book.

When:   Tuesday, May 14, 2013, 7 – 9 p.m.
Where:  SeeFilm Cinema 455 Fourth St., Bremerton, WA

In his book “The Magical Stranger,” Stephen Rodrick explores the life and death of his father and the time spent with today’s members of his father’s squadron VAQ-135, “The World Famous Black Ravens.”

A free wine and cheese reception with author book-signing will follow at the Downtown Bremerton Library, 612 Fifth St., sponsored by the Downtown Bremerton Friends of the Library, the Kitsap Regional Library Foundation and Barnes and Noble Bookstore.

WWII documentary “Honor in the Sky”

When:  Saturday, May 18, 2013, 3 p.m.
Where: Sylvan Way Library

The documentary film “Honor in the Sky”, gives a firsthand look at training and combat in interviews with seven local WWII Army Air Corps veterans.
